You Bring the Inferno to IHP

By Jenny O’Laughlin

Before I tell you about how amazing and transformative Inferno Hot Pilates can be, we need to bust a myth. Despite the name, our hot pilates classes are actually cooler than our yoga classes with the room heated to only 85-90 degrees. That’s 20 degrees cooler than an original hot yoga class. The rest of the heat will come from you.

So why is Inferno Hot Pilates, or IHP, so incredible? For starters you can burn up to 700 calories in one session. Compare it to running, where the average person burns 80-140 calories per mile. IHP helps you lose weight, tone muscles, and look great by activating your glutes, strengthening your core, and working your cardiovascular system.

Our teachers have noticed how quickly their bodies have changed and transformed with a regular IHP practice. “I feel stronger both physically and mentally,” says instructor Michelle Hewitt. “My muscles are more defined and my endurance and balance have really improved. It has also helped me understand how to engage my glutes and my inner thighs, and having a deeper understanding of those muscles have helped make my postures more fluid and stronger.” It’s a fast track to a fit, strong muscular physique. Inferno Hot Pilates is a lot of fun and the perfect compliment to your hot yoga practice. We hope to see you in an IHP class soon!
